Facilitation
Just what do we mean by facilitation?
Facilitation is about the process - how you do
something - rather than the content,
which is what you do. Facilitation is a process managed by
an independent and impartial individual (a facilitator). Facilitators
allow the group to work through a decision making or creative
process in an efficient and effective environment.
When does a group benefit from using a Professional Facilitator?
Do your group, team, or committee meetings drag on hour after hour with little progress?
Do you find that the most important thing that comes out of a meeting is that you scheduled a follow up meeting?
Facilitators keep the meeting on track constantly working toward the agreed upon goals and objectives.
The most common obstructions to an effective problem solving
or creative process are: personal agendas, unmanaged conflict,
protection of the status quo, “group think”, unclear
objectives, losing focus on the issues and the inability of
everyone to have an equal voice.
Professional facilitators are group process experts dealing with all of those “process wasters” so that the group can focus on the objectives.
What venues most often use facilitators?
We can work with your group in many problem solving and creative areas. Facilitators benefit groups when creating a customer service agenda, a new marketing plan, product development, team building and company reorganizations including mergers.
We have worked with non-profit organizations and church committees as well as businesses of all sizes.
